Classeasily Inc. ('Classeasily', 'we', 'us', 'our') is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal information when you access or use our Platform (classeasily.com, mobile applications, and related services).
This Policy applies to all Users (Students, Hosts, and visitors) of the Platform. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Platform.
We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation, including Ontario's Personal Information Protection Act, 2024 (PIPA), where applicable.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide and improve our Platform. The types of information we collect include:
2.1. Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you register, we collect information such as your name, email address, password (hashed), date of birth, phone number, and profile picture (optional). Hosts may provide additional business information, qualifications, or verification details.
- Listing Information (Hosts): Details about your Classes, including description, schedule, location (address or general area), pricing, capacity, images, videos, and rules.
- Booking Information (Students): Information related to your bookings, including classes booked, dates, times, number of participants, and any special requests or notes provided.
- Payment Information: While we use Stripe for payment processing, we may collect information necessary to facilitate transactions, such as billing address and transaction details. We do not store your full credit card number.
- Communications: Records of communications with us (e.g., support requests via support@classeasily.com) or between Users via the Platform's messaging features (where applicable and monitored for safety/policy enforcement).
- Reviews and Feedback: Content you submit as reviews, ratings, or feedback.
- Verification Information: Information required to verify identity or business details (e.g., government ID, business registration documents), collected only when necessary.
2.2. Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Information about your interactions with the Platform, such as pages viewed, searches performed, bookings made, features used, clicks, timestamps, and referring URLs.
- Log Data and Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, crash data, and other technical information when you access the Platform.
- Location Information: We may collect approximate location information from your IP address or more precise location if you grant permission via your device settings (e.g., for finding nearby classes).

3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Improve the Platform: Operate, maintain, personalize, and enhance our services, including facilitating bookings and payments.
- To Communicate with You: Respond to inquiries, send service-related notifications (e.g., booking confirmations, reminders, policy updates), and provide customer support.
- For Safety and Security: Verify accounts, detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and enforce our Terms and policies.
- For Payment Processing: Facilitate transactions, process payments, and manage payouts.
- For Personalization: Customize content and recommendations based on your preferences and usage.
- For Analytics and Research: Understand how Users interact with the Platform to improve user experience and develop new features.
- For Marketing and Promotions: Send promotional messages, marketing, advertising, and other information that may be of interest to you, based on your preferences and with your consent where required by law. You can opt-out at any time.
- To Comply with Legal Obligations: Fulfill legal requirements, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, and protect our legal rights.
4. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Information
We process your personal information based on the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a Contract: Processing necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you under our Terms (e.g., facilitating bookings, processing payments).
- Consent: Where you have provided explicit consent for specific processing activities (e.g., optional profile information, non-essential cookies, direct marketing). You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate Interests: Where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests (e.g., improving the Platform, security, fraud prevention, analytics), provided these interests are not overridden by your data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Between Users: We share information necessary to facilitate Bookings between Students and Hosts (e.g., Student's name shared with Host, Class location shared with Student upon booking). We encourage Users to limit sharing of personal contact information until a booking is confirmed.
- With Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud), data analytics, customer support tools, and marketing platforms. These providers have access only to the information necessary to perform their functions and are obligated to protect your information.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- Aggregated Data: We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for research, marketing, analytics, or other purposes.
- With Your Consent: We may share your information for other purposes with your explicit consent.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. We use encryption (such as SSL/TLS) for sensitive data transmission. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
It is important that you protect against unauthorized access to your password and your computer or device.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as for tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

- Right to Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on your consent to process information, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time (though this will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).

10. International Data Transfers
Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your province, territory, or country where the data protection laws may differ. Our primary servers and service providers (like Stripe, cloud hosting) may be located in the United States or other jurisdictions.
We will take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law when transferred internationally.
11. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 13 (or a higher age if required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
