Age 13+ with adult 19+ Two people will enjoy a private class on a weekday morning, learning the basics of throwing on the potter’s wheel & will be able to pick up their glazed & fired creations later. In this class, I will give a demonstration on the wheel and help each of you make your own wheel thrown creation. While one person is on the wheel, the other may watch or make a pinch pot & then you will switch places. Feel free to take photos or videos. The last 15 minutes of the class are designated for cleanup. Participants can pick the glaze for their wheel thrown pieces and they will be fired & available for pickup later as a memento of your experience. If you make pinch pots, you will have the option to have them glazed and fired for an additional $20/piece. Note: pickup of finished pieces will be dependent on my firing schedule. Please bring a change of shoes to wear only in the studio. This is to keep dust from being tracked in the rest of the house. Bring or wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty. I have aprons as well. For throwing, long fingernails should be trimmed and long hair tied back. Rings, watches & dangly jewelry should also be removed. Please plan to arrive 5 minutes before the class begins. Refund/rescheduling policy: There are no refunds but classes may be rescheduled up to 3 days or 72 hours before the scheduled start of the class without penalty. If a reschedule request is made less than 3 days or 72 hours in advance of the scheduled session, a rescheduling fee of $20 per person will apply. You are welcome to transfer the class registration to another individual if you prefer. Late arrival policy: if you are unavoidably running late, please notify me by phone/text as soon as possible. I may be able to delay the class or reschedule for a $20/person fee. If you are more than 15 minutes late without explanation, the class will be cancelled & no refunds will be provided.
